Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow Position
Westchester Institute for Human Development, NY
Westchester Institute for Human Development (WIHD), a University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, is currently seeking applicants for its APPIC-member Postdoctoral Fellowship for the September 2018-August 2019 year.
Within the Behavioral Psychology/Autism Spectrum Disorder track, training opportunities include intervention with children/adults with disabilities and behavioral challenges, development of functional behavior assessments, and participation in community outreach programs/conferences. BCBA certification supervision hours available.
Both tracks provide professional seminars in developmental disabilities, early intervention, and career development. Psychology Fellows also take part in a 9-month, federally-funded Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) program featuring developmental disabilities training from a multi-disciplinary perspective, participation in a research group on disability-related topics, and training in legislative advocacy skills. Additional training experiences are available at WIHD and can be integrated into candidates’ program based on interest.
