Pediatric Psychologist

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Virginia School of Medicine is seeking a full-time clinical track faculty psychologist in the Section of Pediatric Psychology. Responsibilities include assessment, intervention, and consultation in pediatric subspecialty or primary care clinics with youth who have medical complexity, chronic illness, neuro-developmental disabilities, neuromuscular disorders, intellectual disability, acquired brain injury, mental health disorders, and comorbid diagnoses. The majority of clinical work will be in outpatient settings with the possibility of limited inpatient consultation. Other responsibilities include teaching medical fellows, residents, and medical students and participation on departmental and health system committees.

Successful candidates must possess a PhD or equivalent from an APA-accredited program, have completed an APA-accredited internship, be licensed or license-eligible in Virginia, and be skilled in interprofessional practice in a complex, medical environment. Post-doctoral level experience in a pediatric medical setting is preferred.
