Primary Job Responsibilities (team member can focus on 1 area):

1. Evaluation - Conduct neuropsychological and psycho-diagnostic evaluation. Provide screening and evaluation with children and adolescents (ages 12 months to 18 years) for autism spectrum, adhd, learning disorders, anxiety, ocd, mood, intellectual disability, and giftedness/2e.

2. Treatment - Provide therapy and consultation for children and adolescents participating in evidence-based CBT, DBT, social skills training, behavior therapy, mindfulness, and parent coaching. Services are delivered in individual, family, and small group formats.

3. Supervision/Training/Consultation - Provide training, supervision and consultation to post-doctoral fellows and clinic team members.

Skills and Requirements:

1. Five years+ experience providing neuropsychological, psycho-diagnostic, Autism, and/or early childhood assessment.

2. Five years+ experience providing skills-based, evidence-based therapies with children, adolescents, parents, and families (i.e., CBT, DBT, ACT, SEL, behavior therapy, parenting programs).

3. Open to feedback and consultation and enjoys working on a team.

4. Experience working with culturally diverse clients and families.

5. Highly organized, detail-oriented, energetic, reliable, wordsmith, techie, and creative.

6. Multi-disciplinary team, school, hospital, private practice or private out-patient clinic experience. Work experience in various settings is preferred.

7. Licensed Psychologist in California. Completed training from an accredited university training program in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or Combined Psychology.

8. Bilingual/Trilingual (Mandarin, Spanish) is a plus.

9. Experience and updated CEU for training and supervision to post-doctoral fellows is a plus.

NIH-funded Clinical Research Postdoctoral Position

Dr. Jennifer Foss-Feig at the Seaver Autism Center for Research and Treatment is seeking one full-time Postdoctoral Fellow to join the team at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. The fellow will have the opportunity to be a key contributor in an exciting new research project developing a novel outcome measure for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) as well as to complete hours for clinical psychology licensure. Publications, conference presentations, design of original studies, and mentoring of students will be key components of the postdoctoral fellowship.

As part of this position, the fellow will be expected to actively participate in diagnostic assessments for research participants; therefore, experience with – and ideally research reliability in – all modules of the ADOS and the ADI-R are preferred. Strong candidates will have substantial background in the measurement of ASD symptoms and familiarity with observer-report measures; experience with measure development and/or strong psychometric training are a plus, but not required. Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary and cross-institutional teams are a must.

Additional opportunities include work on projects using EEG, eye tracking, psychophysics, and/or fMRI, in both children and adults with ASD, as well as in individuals with rare genetic syndromes associated with ASD (e.g., Phelan McDermid syndrome, FOXP1 syndrome, ADNP syndrome, DDX3X syndrome). Experience in one or more of these experimental methodologies is a plus. Opportunities for submission of external funding applications at the trainee level (e.g., to NIH, Autism Speaks, Autism Science Foundation) will be available.

Applicants completing a doctoral degree in clinical psychology or related disciplines and having expertise in assessment of neurodevelopmental disorders will be considered for a fully-funded position. While this fellowship has a primary emphasis on research, supervised clinical hours for licensure can be attained. Additional clinical experiences (e.g., treatment cases, neuropsychological testing) are possible for interested candidates.

The Child Development Center is an established interdisciplinary program designed to serve the needs of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorders.  The Child Development Center is part of Nationwide Children's Hospital Pediatric Behavioral Health program and collaborates within the Section of Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics. Our program is one of 17 sites within the Autism Speaks Autism Treatment Network, the Autism Intervention Research Network on Physical Health, the SFARI SPARK Clinical Site Network.  We  participate in a wide range of multi-site, externally funded clinical research projects.

The Child Development Center is one of the most comprehensive and largest neurodevelopmental psychology departments in the country and is part of one of the largest Pediatric Behavioral Health units. We have new and expanded positions open for individuals who are interested in working in a multi-disciplinary setting focusing on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of children referred for possible autism and other developmental delays and disabilities.  Our Pediatric Neurodevelopmental Psychologists work with Developmental Behavioral Pediatricians, Neurologists, Nurse Practitioners, Speech and Language Pathologists, Psychiatrists, Social Workers, Genetic Counselors, and GI specialists.  We have a large and diverse psychology faculty, an APPIC approved internship track, and a well-established post-doctoral fellowship program.  Our faculty also participates in graduate student training and development as well as medical education. 

We are specifically looking for psychologists interested either of the two following areas:

1) Implementing short-term, targeted evidence based treatments for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other neurodevelopmental conditions.

2)  Evidence based psychological testing for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other neurodevelopmental conditions.  We are looking for a colleague interested in developing targeted assessments to re-evaluate progress and design treatment interventions for this population as well as participating in our established diagnostic assessment program.

We are seeking a postdoctoral fellow in Clinical Child Adolescent Psychology to join our team at Seesaw.  The postdoctoral fellow will work closely with our team of licensed psychologists, clinicians and postdoctoral fellows and provide direct clinical care for families with young children to adolescents with Autism Spectrum, ID, as well as ADHD, LD, OCD, Anxiety Disorder, and Twice Exceptional/High cognitive functioning. 

Seesaw is a private practice/outpatient clinic and we provide: early child developmental screening, psycho-diagnostic and neuropsychological evaluation, treatment (i.e., CBT, DBT, social emotional skills training, parent coaching). Seesaw is a Golden Gate Regional Center Vendor, GGRC (i.e., we provide ASD and ID assessment).

Training Requirements: Candidates have training in ASD; ADOS-2 traning is provided, but previous training is helpful. Evidence-based CBT, behavior therapy).

Dr. Jane Roberts and the Neurodevelopmental Disorders Lab at the University of South Carolina are pleased to announce the availability of one full-time NIH-funded postdoctoral fellowship position. Down Syndrome Research Post-doctoral opportunity - Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center

Dr. Anna Esbensen and the Division of Developmental Disabilities and Behavioral Pediatrics has an opening for a Postdoctoral Fellowship position focused on measurement research with children and adolescents with Down Syndrome (DS). This federally-funded research fellowship will provide advanced training in working with individuals with developmental disabilities, and specifically on research on DS. The fellow will be involved in several studies, including measuring cognitive or language outcomes in preschool to school-age children with Down syndrome and a study developing a novel behavioral outcome measure for use with individuals with DS. Fellows will be exposed to qualitative (i.e., focus group administration and coding) and quantitative (i.e., scale development, measurement evaluation) methods. Additional opportunities are available to be involved in randomized clinical trial interventions, with exposure to quantitative analysis methods. Other opportunities include participating in the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) program and in national clinical trial networks. The lab of Dr. Klusek (SCFamilyStudy.com) is pleased to announce the availability of a full-time, two-year NIH-funded postdoctoral fellowship. The focus of the position is on autism and fragile X-associated conditions. Dr. Klusek also conducts research on psychiatric, physiological, and genetic correlates of communication ability across these neurodevelopmental conditions. 

Opportunities for the fellow include:
ADOS-2 research reliability training.
Significant emphasis on manuscript preparation.
Advance ongoing projects and collaborate with Dr. Klusek to develop new studies.
 Hands-on experience conducting clinical studies of individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders and their families.
 Receive mentorship in grant writing, lab management, and mentoring students.
Fellow will be encouraged to submit own grant application for external funding to a major federal agency or private foundation (e.g., NIH, Autism Speaks).

Dr. Klusek’s research is interdisciplinary and this opportunity is appropriate for applicants with backgrounds in psychology, speech-language pathology, health and human development, or other related disciplines. The start date is flexible, beginning summer 2019.

AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

The Curry School of Education and Human Development at the University of Virginia seeks applicants for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position focused on autism spectrum disorder (ASD) beginning in Summer or Fall 2019. This position is part of the Supporting Transformative Autism Research (STAR) Program, which represents a significant investment in advancing cutting-edge autism research, training, and clinical services at the University of Virginia. The postdoctoral training experience will emphasize specialized ASD assessment, intervention, research, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Training activities will occur primarily at the Sheila C. Johnson Center for Human Services (SCJC), a state-of-the-art Center providing integrated multidisciplinary clinical services for individuals of all ages. The SCJC incorporates the expertise of licensed professionals with a diverse graduate training program spanning a broad range of clinical specialties. Collaboration with community partners and programs, including the Virginia Institute on Autism, will also be an essential component of the position.
